Line of Sight Survey

Aerelink are very experienced in performing line of sight surveys for the mobile operators and their principle contractors. We have been carrying out this service for a number of years and are able to mobilise quickly for small or large scale projects.


Installation and Commissioning

Aerelink frequent provide resource to the mobile operator’s principle contractors for the survey and new deployment of Microwave backhaul based equipment. We provide services for microwave installation as well as antenna moves and changes and safe removal/disposal of equipment.


Temporary Events

Temporary events present a unique challenge for the mobile operators, with a large concentration of customers in an area where for most of the year, the call volume is low, then for a two or three day period, a large amount of extra capacity is required. Most music festival goers have camera phones, and will want to call and send pictures to their friends and family. If they cannot get a line, valuable revenue for the operator is lost.

To counter this short term stretch on the communications infrastructure, the mobile operators install base stations on trailers or temporary masts. Aerelink have been working with several of the mobile operators on a series of temporary deployments for music festivals and sports events, providing Line of Sight proof to existing structures, and advising on mast placement. Once the temporary location has been identified, and the structure delivered, we have returned to site to rig, install, commission and test the communications systems.

Events we have enabled in the recent past include BBC Radio1’s ‘Big Weekend’ in Dundee, ‘T In The Park’, ‘Download’ Festival at Castle Donington, the ‘Creamfields’ and ‘God’ Kitchen’ dance festivals, and the Leeds leg of the Robbie Williams tour.
