Aerelink Granted Landmark Ofcom Status
Aerelink has been awarded Communications Provider status by industry regulator Ofcom. In addition to this accreditation, it adds BT fixed Ethernet capabilities to it's extensive service portfolio. The announcement is a significant landmark for the Widnes-based company as it moves towards a more strategic range of hybrid solutions to extend cost savings to both new and existing customers.
The pioneering organisation, which last year acquired competitor Rapier Systems, has also signed an agreement with BT Openreach, which will enable Aerelink to offer Local Loop Unbundling (LLU), a service that allows the creation of high capacity fibre networks.
“Aerelink has truly come of age in the communications industry thanks to these additional capabilities,” says John Standaloft, non-executive director at Aerelink.
“This is a significant milestone in Aerelink’s evolution plan and heralds it's arrival as a hybrid network solutions provider within the industry,” he adds.
Steve Swift, Managing Director of Aerelink, comments: “We now have a unique skill set in the services we can offer to our clients. Aerelink is in a position to be able to utilise a wide range of capabilities to provide the most cost-effective, flexible and high-quality network to meet our customers’ diverse requirements.”
