Network Integration and Support (NI&S) is the operating division of Aerelink responsible for public sector and enterprise customers.

Through our extensive experience of the wireless industry we recognise the need for detailed monitoring, exceptional service levels and accountability in the delivery of complex wide area networks. This is why at Aerelink we offer a unique blend of technologies, backed up by back office support and remote monitoring, to provide increased flexibility and service, whilst also reducing overall operating costs.

We often come across customers who pay out large sums of money, year after year, for a service that is often badly sold, poorly dimensioned and has little correlation to the customer’s actual needs. The traditional data carrier model will often involve a standard product offering that’s not tailored to a client’s specific requirements, accompanied by large installation costs and hefty maintenance and service bills. In many cases, customers are paying for data rates that are greatly in excess of their actual requirements, forced to pay for the extra capacity due to fixed data options.

But this is not the only failure. In a rapidly changing business environment, speed of implementation is vital. However, if new cable or fibre is required to build the network, civil works are often needed, extending the lead times for the new circuit by weeks or even months. In many cases, especially in rural and semi-rural environments, customers are charged for the cost of installing this infrastructure, which is then in existence for other service users going forward. In effect, the carrier is benefiting from the original client’s investment.

Within the current climate, this is an inefficient use of expensive telecommunications assets especially within the local government environment. Individual networks for crime prevention CCTV, schools, traffic lights and road monitoring CCTV within a local council for example, is a huge duplication of effort as well as expense and communications budgets.

We strongly believe that this scenario does not represent best value for our clients and thereby have developed an alternative.

Through the combination of our cellular network experience and our world-class product partnerships, we can provide individually tailored solutions to meet the exact requirements of our customers, dimensioned correctly for efficient operation. Our turn-key private network solutions are also wholly scalable, meaning they can grow with the business throughout the anticipated life of the network.

Using a range of cutting-edge wireless products and other services such as Local Loop Unbundling (LLU), Aerelink can build a wide variety of network solutions; from individual site-wide deployments for new application to city or county-wide point-to-multipoint wireless broadband networks for local authority mobilisation, security and surveillance or social inclusion.

We select our products on the basis of reliability, flexibility and ease of monitoring. Knowing what is going on with the networks we provide allows us to proactively manage traffic levels as they change. .
